Katyayani’s reactions were just precious. She was brought to tears right away!
But let me backtrack a little.
Pratik emailed me about three weeks before he planned to propose to Katyayani. That was plenty of time to be able to put together a plan for the event as well as a good plan B. Good thing, too. A few days before the big date, the forecast showed a lot of rain was to come. Guys: a solid plan B is very important to have!
However, everything changed weather-wise and Pratik’s original plan was what we went with. In the morning, Pratik and Katyayani spent some time together with each other kayaking, coffee-ing, picnicking then a visit to Austin’s Zilker Botanical Park where we were waiting at our designated spot.
Jesse and I were hiding in the open “bird watching” or something, I don’t remember. But it worked!
Katyayani was so surprised and it was just the sweetest thing. We were so excited to capture it all for them AND get to spend some time with them taking their engagement photos. Zilker Botanical Garden was showing off with amazing flowers and everything was so lush and green. All in all, it was an idyllic setting for an idyllic time in Katyayani and Pratik’s life together.
